Mount Glorious is a bird watcher's paradise, with over 80 varieties of birds seen on the mountain. You will be woken with the sound of birdsong, while on the verandah Australian King Parrots, crimson rosellas, bower birds, red-browed finches, sulphur crested cockatoos and kookaburras come to feed. In the surrounding bush you will hear, and perhaps even see, the shy cat bird and, of course, bush turkeys.
Here at Turkey's Nest we have sighted over 40 varieties of birds, and invite you to add your sightings to our list. We provide binoculars and bird identification books for bird-watching on site.
